Kess' Spicy Fried Plantains (Kelewele)

  • 3 yellow (ripened) plantains

  • POKS Spices All Purpose Seasoning


  1.  Peel and cut up the plantains into cubes

  2. Sprinkle on the POKS All Purpose Seasoning and toss until each cube is coated/dusted with the spice.

  3. Marinate in the fridge for at least 4 hours.

  4. Scoop marinated plantains into hot oil and deep fry until golden brown.

  5. Eat alone or with peanuts as a dessert, or as an entree with black eye beans stew

  6. Sprinkle on POKS All Purpose Seasoning for an extra umph!
