POKS Mussels Cream Sauce

Did you know that mussels are a nutritionally dense and rich source of protein and iron? Nutritionally dense foods provide good and rich sources of nutrients, versus calorie dense foods which are high in calories, but not necessarily rich in nutrients.

  • 1 to 2 lbs Mussels (frozen, Pre-cooked)
  • 1 Cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 Tbsp Butter
  • 1/8 cup Parsley (Chopped)
  • 1 Lemon (Juice only)
  • Sourdough Bread
  • 1/2 POKS Green Chili West African Seasoning


  • Heat the heavy cream in a large pan.
  • Melt in the butter, lemon juice, POKS Green Chili Seasoning and chopped parsley.
  • Add in the mussels on medium heat and cook for 5 to 7 minutes, until the shells are open.
  • Serve with sliced sourdough.
